The theatre was founded in 1983, though just a small room in the first floor of the residential house has been served as stage for nearly 27 years.

The city authorities obtained financing for the new building. The task was not trivial to bring under one roof one stage, one cabaret and one culture activity centre.

During design process Kunkel Consulting International GmbH prepared various solutions for overstage and understage machinery and presented them to the theatre. The designed equipment has expanded the possibilities of the theatre. The theatre had to get used to the new scale and to adjust all performances taking into account new technical possibilities.

After installation Kunkel Consulting International GmbH performed safety tests of the installed equipment.

Now the theatre works successfully in the new space. The repertoire of the theatre includes drama and music performances. In performances the theatre combines music, dance, songs, musicals, shows and other types of performing arts.
