Kunkel Consulting International GmbH is formed by a team of consultants, planners and engineers for stage equipment in all types of cultural venues such as theatres, opera houses and multi-function halls.
The services we offer cover all parts of the theatre and event technologies. This includes all planning and design phases starting from comprehensive expertises to clarify the objectives of a project up to the planning and execution of all planning and design phases. The core competences of our company are stage machinery equipment, stage lighting as well as audio and video technology.
With 25 employees worldwide, we face the challenges of our customers day-to-day. Depending on their needs, our project activity starts long before the actual start of construction. Our major task is the implementation of a feasible project based on the requirements of the arts venue as well as the requirements defined by the purpose and practical use of the venue. The design and execution of each project is regarded as an extremely complex task and therefore requires our high experience and knowledge in this special field.
Technical requirements must be coordinated with the needs of the operating team. In renovation projects also the characteristics of the existing building and also monument conservation must be respected. All these different requirements must be coordinated into an integrated overall concept. The stage must be regarded as part of the working system which also includes the secondary areas surrounding the stage, external zones, workshops and storages as well as other technical and artistic areas of the theatre. During all phases and processes the project must constantly be checked for its sustainability.
Since the foundation of the company, we have successfully executed more than 35 projects in the field of the theatre and event technology. Kunkel Consulting International GmbH operates nationwide as well as abroad on theatres, opera houses and other cultural venues. We operate offices in Bürstadt (Hessen), Munich, Moscow, Beijing and Seoul.
Kunkel Consulting International GmbH is officially registered as a member of the accredited architects and consulting engineers in Germany, published by the German Professional Association for Theatrical Technique (DTHG).
